Lesson 3: Our two special entry techniques

Pullback Entry:

After the break of the trendline, we wait for a retrace to get a better entry. We usually opt for that option when we get a strong break of the trendline and if we would enter right on the candle close, we wouldn’t get a good ratio.

We either wait for a retrace back to the trendline or a 4h S/R area.

When waiting for a pullback, we do not enter blindly. When a pullback happens, we wait for candlestick patterns that show the pullback is ending.

Breakout Entry:

An entry right on the trendline breakout candle close. We choose this option if we get a good ratio even without a pullback and if we don’t want to miss out on the trade, if a pullback never happens.

Both of the techniques have their pros and cons.

With the first one you risk missing out on the trade, but you have a chance of getting a better entry and with that, a better ratio.

And the second one, you sacrifice some of the ratio, but you don’t risk missing out on the trade.
