Forex Mobile Trading has become increasingly more popular in recent years.
It is estimated that over 60% of trader do their Forex Trading on a mobile device.
This has caused many trading platforms to invest significant resources into developing their mobile trading apps.
There are many trading platforms to use, MT4, MT5, cTrader, DXTrade, and the list goes on.
A new trading platform, MatchTrader, has taken the industry by storm though, largely due to their intutitive mobile trading platform. BullRush Trading Competitions for example are all hosted on the MatchTrader platform, hosted by GooeyTrade.
MatchTrader has done a great job of developing not only their web app, but also their mobile trading platform. Through the advanced features traders can either download the mobile version on Apple iOS and Android, or they can simply open any web browser and use the HTML5 web version on their mobile phone.
GooeyTrade has put together an advanced level tutorial on the MatchTrader mobile trading platform.
So, if you are seeking to continue to trade, and more importantly enter a BullRush Trading Competition, we would recommend getting familiar with the Matchtrader mobile platform.

Hello nick , I know nothing about Forex Trading but I’m interested to trade in Forex . Since I need side income to support my Family . So do you have any suggestion on how to start? By the way, does the location of where we live have anything to do with forex trading?

Nice work nick. Do some videos on your scalping strategy.
Nick

Nick, I am using ForexTester 3 on my i7 iMac in Parallels running Windows 8. Never had any trouble. It is reliable and fast. For stock trading I am using Interactive Brokers. I run there platform also in Parallels without any trouble.
Nick
Parallels creates a virtual machine which uses part of the power from your CPU, RAM, and GPU to run Windows. While this might be okay in a £2,000 iMac, it is not ideal for a mobile trading tablet.
This article is for mobile trading. Apple doesn’t really have any proper mobile trading options that I know of. An iMac is certainly not mobile. A Macbook is somewhat mobile, but it has a non-detachable keyboard, which makes it hard to use in certain situations, like when you are standing.
Unless I am missing something, there is no mobile trading solution from Mac.
Detlef
Nick, I wrote my comment because it is in my opinion not true that the Windows emulator on the Mac is “buggy and can be unstable”. I have been using a Windows emulator on Mac computers since Windows 98. The emulator has come a very long way. It is very stable now and nicely integrated with the macOS. But I do agree with you that one better gets a top of the line MacBook Pro with an extra load of memory.
I also fully agree that a MacBook is not really a mobile device. Nevertheless if one is spending several times per year prolonged periods at various places a MacBook might be a good choice. Definitely carrying an iMac around is not an option. Arguably this is a special kind of mobile, and not the mobile your were talking about. I understand that.
About mobile trading solutions for the Mac. I don’t know. I have not checked yet. But I will do in the near future.
Nick
Yes, but we are specifically talking about mobile devices. The closest thing to a mobile devices that runs MacOs is the Macbook, a Macbook with a m3 processor and 8gb of ram would not be very stable when running resource intensive software in parallels. I am not talking about i7s with 8gb of ram. I will edit this article and make it clear that I am specifically referring to comparable Macos devices.

Not having a dedicated trading view app is really annoying….why wouldn’t they develop it?…it does not make any sense!
Nice article btw!

Hey :)
Interesting read – but I still feel that trading entirely from a mobile isn’t as efficient as a desktop or laptop. In doing so you sacrifice a lot of functionality and screen real estate which is majorly important. At least for me.
Good work – keep it up.
Luke
Nick
I agree, but unfortunately a desktop or laptop isn’t as mobile as a phone. You’d be surprised how many people trade on a phone!
Emmanuel
Hi, in your experience do 2 in 1 tablets consume as much Internet data as traditional laptops while trading.
I am considering a switch. The cost of internet subscription in my country for a month of trading on my laptop is half the price of my laptop.
Nick
No it won’t consume more internet!
Sunny Agahro
Hi,you did a great job here. But apart from the particular devices you just mentioned,do every other android-powered smartphone like infinix hot 5 and Tecno Spark among others, not good enough for trading conveniently ? As for screen size,is it measured by the lenght or width ?
Nick
These reviews are for the ones I have tested. I cannot test every Android device as there are thousands. Screen size is calculated as the diagonal screen size, from the top right to the bottom left.
Mark
Nice write up, thanks!
I remember you had a list pairs you watch, but i can;t seem to find it anymore. Could you please list them?
Cheers.

Nick
Yeah – trading has never been as accessible as it is today. A lot of opportunity and access for people.
Adrian
I just started trading demo and really really curious and eager to learn about the basics. I’m curious though as I know that if you close your laptop, your current trade in the MT4 stops right? Correct me if I’m wrong. So my question is, if you use the MT4 mobile version and close the app, will it also close my trades? Do I have to keep the application running in my phone until it hits TP/SL?
Nick
You can close your laptop or your phone’s app – it won’t exit your trade on MT4 or any system. You are placing an order on their server so you can turn off your laptop, destroy it, even use someone else’s, as long as you know your username and password. I don’t recommend doing any of the above, but you get my point.
oknn
I suggest you take a look at this

This is a very nice read. Very thorough yet easy t understand. I am just starting out and eyeing to to get help from fx leaders. Should I jump into this or try with my laptop first? I want this since it is very convenient.
Nick
You can use your laptop first – I’d recommend it so you can get used to the charts and analysing them. Once you are comfortable, you can start using your phone more. It can be a bit tricky at the start if you go straight to mobile since the screen is not as large and analysing charts will not be as smooth until you have some confidence with it.
irfan
Hey Nick, what forex app did you prefer in app store?
Fran
Really good review, lots of great info there, thank you.
james.noobs99@gmail.com
Thanks Nick. Very insightful coverage, it helps a lot. May God continue to bless you
Nicholas
Nick, Please I need a constant reliable and accurate profit making signals. And also a scalping strategy if you have something like that. Please I really need your help on this?
Nick
Hey Nicholas – I don’t offer signal services because it makes traders reliant on others and usually these are just scams to take your money. I’d recommend a different approach as what you are looking for doesn’t really exist. For scalping, check out my scalping strategy page in the Articles section of the site as well as my Trading Through Corona video on YouTube!
Levi Onwueyi
Your article is very helpful . Thanks. Please help me know whether I can place more than just a currency pair on an Android phone
Nick
You should be able to trade a wide range of instruments on your phone – the restrictions will be primarily what country you are in.
Eliau denis
I would love to start the business
Daniel
Hi
Is there a update for software in 2020 to do mobile forex trading?
Thanks.
Nick
Hi Daniel – I will be doing a 2021 update for the article before the year is out as the iPhone 12 will be one to add on to the guide once it is released!
Sunny
